Make it easier to switch from asylum to labor migration
The ÖDP wants to make it easier to move from the asylum process into labor migration. The individual person should count, not the country of origin or the original reason for coming. Those who integrate quickly and support themselves should get a binding assurance of family reunification.
The ÖDP wants asylum seekers to be able to stay as workers more easily. The individual person matters, not the home country. People who settle in well and work may bring their family. Newcomers should be able to learn German and work right away.
According to the program, migration and integration should be planned together from the start. Language support, work and vocational training are to begin immediately, on a binding basis and at the same time, so that social integration happens faster. Family reunification follows the principle of making demands while offering support. The program sees qualifications gained in Germany as a benefit even if people return to their home country, because they strengthen international partnerships.

Switching from asylum to a work-based stay and family reunification for those who integrate would be made easier, which widens options to remain.
