SPD on equality and diversity

Help with finding housing and training offers for women after a stay in a women's shelter are to be expanded. The expansion of shelter places for women and INTA persons (inter, non-binary, trans and agender people) continues. The SPD urges the Bundestag to pass the Gewalthilfegesetz (violence assistance law) so that the federal government can share the costs. For men who experience violence, a special protection service with crisis apartments is planned.

The SPD wants to pay more attention to the problems of older LGBTIQ people, queer people with a migration background and people with disabilities. The program regards queer cultural and meeting venues as an important safe space. Against hate crime, the SPD relies on prevention, prosecution, awareness training for police and the judiciary, and public campaigns. Acceptance of sexual and gender diversity is to increase.
