Promote equality, protect women from violence
The CDU wants women to take part in the labor market more fully and on equal terms, especially in STEM jobs and leadership positions. This is meant to strengthen their financial independence and prevent poverty in old age. It wants to improve protection from violence through the Gewalthilfegesetz (violence assistance act).
Women and men should have the same chances. More women should work in technical jobs and as managers. Then they have their own money and are less often poor in old age. Women should be better protected from violence.
Care work and paid work should be able to be shared equally. Women and men should have the same chances of a self-determined life regardless of gender. The program uses the violence assistance act as its tool for better protection. In addition, the CDU wants to raise the employment rate of people with disabilities and reorganize how the federal participation act is implemented.
