Asylum procedures at external borders and in third countries
The BSW wants to limit immigration so that integration can succeed. Asylum applications should be filed and decided at the EU's external borders and in third countries. The party stands by the basic right to asylum for persecuted people.
The BSW wants less immigration. People should apply for asylum at the EU's borders. Or in other countries outside the EU. The decision should be made there too. Only people who get protection should receive benefits in Germany. The right to asylum should stay.
The program commits to the basic right to asylum but points out that only one to two percent of arrivals receive protection status under asylum law. The number of immigrants should stay within a range that, in the party's view, does not overburden society. Only people entitled to protection should be able to claim support and social benefits in Germany. At the same time, Saxony should become more attractive to foreign skilled workers where companies actually need them.

Asylum procedures are to be moved out of Germany to the EU's external borders and third countries, a fundamental restrictive overhaul of today's system.
