Modernize the burial law
The Greens want to revise Saxony's 2009 burial law and, for example, allow burials without a coffin. Parents of children lost to miscarriage or stillbirth would be able to decide for themselves about a burial.
The Greens want to change the law on burials. A burial without a coffin should be possible. Parents should be allowed to decide whether to bury a child who died before or at birth.
The platform justifies the change by saying that dying with dignity and a personal way of grieving are part of life. The law would be adapted to social developments. The choice for affected parents is meant to allow an individual way of dealing with grief.
