It says interference by other states has not been helpful so far. The AfD warns that Germany and Bavaria could be drawn into the war by the federal government's stance. It points out that heavy weapons are shipped from Bavaria and Ukrainian soldiers are trained on Bavarian training grounds. In its view, this abandons the principle of not sending weapons to crisis and war zones.

The AfD wants the state government to do more for the Bundeswehr (German armed forces) and to keep and expand bases in Bavaria. A substantial share of the planned additional posts should be located in the state.

With the planned increase to 203,000 military posts and additional civilian posts in the defense administration, the government should push for Bavaria as a location.
